more about Maya...

Maya Grosch

The first time Maya got on a mountain bike was 1987 in Whistler, BC. On her fully rigid ride she returned dirt-smeared, bruised and tired but absolutely exhilarated from the experience - it was love on first ride. Seventeen years later...she had moved to Nelson, married, become a mom of two and yet always retained her passion for mountain biking.

She has three years of certified coaching experience, instructing women and youth in mountain biking and soccer. In her spare time, Maya works at Sacred Ride in Nelson. Playing in the outdoors has always been a priority for Maya, and helping women and youth realize their goals in sport, has followed closely behind.

Certificates:

  • National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Mountain Bike Level I
  • Canadian Mountain Bike Instructor Certification Level I
